There’s been much written of late regarding Footwear/Heel-Toe Drop/Minimalist and Barefoot Running. There can be debate and argument regarding the benefits of each. One point that should be remembered in regard to choices and footwear is that not everybody is built the same.
Many factors have to be taken into consideration when recommending footwear or no footwear, these include biomechanics, the goals of the individual, and what the individual prefers and enjoys.
By having a Biomechanical Assessment and a Gait Analysis and working closely with Specialist Running Footwear providers, the balance of lightweight, efficiency and minimal injury risk can be achieved for everybody.
