SPORTS INJURIES
Sports that involve running, walking and repetitive movement may predispose individuals to injury, particularly if there is a biomechanical difficiency or imbalance. This type of difficiency may be acquired or it may be congenital (inherited). A Biomechanical Assessment will be able to reveal any such difficiency. Such a difficiency may not be noticeable in day to day routine activities but combined with increased forces or repetition may lead to an injury.
A biomechanical Assessment and a Gait Analysis can assist in prevention of injury and treatment of injury by identifying any abnormalities and devising a treatment program.
